Tale As Old As Time

So, Lexcie and I went to go see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway last Friday. It’s one of my all-time favorite movies, and I wanted to see the show before it officially closes in July. A co-worker did tell me there were some difference from the movie – mainly, it was more comedic and there were more songs. Overall, I gave it a seven out of ten stars.

Why not ten, considering it’s one of my favorite movies? Well, precisely that – it was a lot different from the movie. Continue reading

Rod Stewart Concert Review

In many instances, older singers tend to lose the vocal range they had in their younger glory days. However, Rod Stewart is one of the exceptions. Kicking off the start of both of his concerts at Madison Square Garden February 25 and 26 with “Forever Young,” Stewart proved he was indeed forever young, sounding as crisp and clear as he did in his earlier years. Judging by the shrieks of the women in the audience, he also hasn’t lost his booty-shaking sex appeal, either. Continue reading

Scary Fan

Last night I went to the Def Leppard show at Jones Beach. The show itself was amazing… Joe Elliot still has it, as do the rest of the band members! It was his birthday show, also, which was cool. Anyways…

The theatre (with the exception of the top, top nosebleed section, which tickets hadn’t been released, I presume) were packed. So, mostly everyone had someone sitting next to them. I go to sit down in my seat, and there’s a girl next to me, perhaps my age or a teensy bit older sitting next to me. She turned to me and said, “I’m warning you know, I’m a screamer. This is my absoulte favorite band in the world and I’m gonna scream for them as loud as I can.” Continue reading
